So a little while ago, my erotic dystopian Torquere Sip “We Are Such Stuff” went out of print and the rights reverted to me. It’s definitely not the best story I’ve ever written, but I have a certain fondness for it, so I went back through it, did a little editing and made a few minor changes, and I’m re-releasing it through Smashwords.
It originally sold for $1.99 but now you can have your very own spiffy DRM-free Smashwords edition in a wide variety of formats for only $.99.
Reyes is bored. A young man in a bleak future city of endless rain, he finds his entertainment in packed clubs, one-night stands, and the occasional drug. But when a mysterious young man catches his eye, he is led on a chase through a nighttime world of dreams and dreamers, a chase that could end in frustration… or a new kind of pleasure.
[HEY WHY DON’T YOU BUY ME]
And have an excerpt.
Just got the cover for the Agony/Ecstasy anthology, which is now slated to release in the beginning of this coming December from Berkley Heat.
Jane is apparently working on a website for it, and she’s going to be previewing two stories a month at Dear Author up until the release date. Will post more news when I have some.
I think it’s absolutely fantastic. Probably my favorite cover of anything I’ve been involved in. The table of contents isn’t anything to sneeze at, either:
Counterbalance by Ruth Sorrell
Trouble Arrived by C.B. Calsing
Personal Demons by Jean Marie Ward
The Windskimmer by Connie Wilkins
Sky Lit Bargains by Kelly A. Harmon
Gloam by Quinn Smythwood
Witches Have Cats by Juliet Kemp
D is for Delicious by Steve Berman
And Out of the Strong Came Forth Sweetness by Lisa Nohealani Morton
Bridges and Lullabies by Rrain Prior
Thin Spun by Sunny Moraine
A State of Panic by Rachel Green
Ebook release is set for mid October at this point. This has been a great project to be part of and I can’t wait to see the final result.
The fabulous Christine Griffin has finished her cover for In the Pale Moonlight, and it is also appropriately fabulous, in my opinion:
The book itself is still being polished, but hopefully will be released soon. Stay tuned for further news.
The cover art for Hieros is finished, and man, is it awesome. I think so, anyway.
Christine Griffin is the culprit. She did a fantastic job (especially considering how little I gave her in the way of hard specs) and deserves buckets of praise.
Not sure yet when the book itself will be out. In the meantime, a blurb and a short excerpt can be found here.
